How it works

From idea to footage, in four moves

1

Start from the idea

Synopsis, treatment and outline have dedicated editors. An outline beat becomes a full scene in one click, and the AI turns each document into the next.

2

Write the script

The editor knows the standard: you write, it formats. Shortcuts for everything, side-by-side dialogue alternatives, timeline branches for alternative endings.

3

Get it set-ready

Breakdown, shooting schedule, frozen numbering, colored revisions, Final Draft export. The boring part of production, done right.

4

Generate the footage

The AI Studio turns every scene into prompts, images and video. Then VFX and editing inside DaVinci Resolve with the plugin, or from the browser.

The screenplay editor

A real professional editor, with AI inside

Not a generator that spits out text: an editor that knows the film format. One page = one minute, ENTER and TAB do almost everything, and the AI — the one you choose, among 26+ models — rewrites, proposes alternatives and turns one document into the next, always with the cost shown first.

  • Automatic formattingscenes, action, characters, dialogue: you write, it formats to standard
  • Timeline branches (exclusive)alternative endings in parallel, compared on the Canvas Board
  • Scene map & beat boardAI loglines per scene, act structure, drag scenes between key moments
  • Production-readyfrozen numbers with A/B, colored revisions, (MORE)/(CONT'D), breakdown and shooting schedule
  • Final Draft & PDF.fdx import/export with scene numbers, PDF import with automatic recognition

From script to footage, scene by scene

Every scene of the screenplay becomes a shot: the AI reads the text and writes cinematic prompts, image models generate the keyframes, Seedance sets them in motion. No more copy-paste loop: prompts asked in a chat, carried by hand to a generation site, images re-attached one by one. Here the script already is the prompt. And regenerating never wastes anything: every attempt is a take, and you pick the best with one click.

  • Zero copy-pastecontext, framing and references flow from the scene to the model on their own: hours of back-and-forth between chat and generator, gone
  • AI-written promptskeyframe and motion for every shot, in cinematic English, editable
  • Top imagesGPT Image 2, Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 5 Pro, with up to 14 reference images
  • Seedance video up to 2.54-30 seconds, 480p→4K depending on the model, 50 multimodal references, charged only on delivery
  • Project referencesupload once (faces, sets, style) and use them in every shot
  • Edit kitZIP with one folder per shot, shotlist.csv and a pre-assembled timeline for Resolve and Premiere

VFX where you edit: inside DaVinci Resolve

The ShotClick panel lives inside Resolve: select a piece of the timeline, describe the effect — in your own words — and Claude writes the prompt looking at the real frames of your clip. You approve it (no credits spent before), Seedance regenerates the shot in video-to-video, and the result comes back at the exact frame, on a dedicated track. The same flow also works from the browser, with a history of every generation.

macOS WindowsRequires Resolve Studio
  • In/Out captureor simply the clip under the playhead; auto-trim to the model's limits
  • Prompts from real framesthe AI sees your footage: right subject, light and framing, typos understood
  • Approve before you spendthe prompt stops in an editable box: the video starts only on your OK
  • Frame at cursorgrab the exact frame and use it as reference or first frame
  • Back at the exact framethe result places itself on the timeline, on a new track, and stays in ~/Movies too

Your AI edits inside Resolve

Open Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor with the ShotClick connector and tell it what to edit. It looks at the Media Pool clips with its own eyes, proposes the cut, builds it in Resolve as a new timeline and refines it with you line by line: “the second clip is shaky, replace it”, “shorten the speech”, “put the title first”. No ShotClick credits: it runs on your AI subscription. Your footage never leaves your computer: only small frames reach the connector.

  • It sees the clipsreal frames on demand and contact sheets to browse a whole bin
  • Chat, not formsbrief, fixes and second thoughts in your own words, in the AI client you already use
  • New timelines, never yoursevery version is a separate timeline with cuts at exact frames, ready to polish
  • Zero creditsyou pay your AI subscription; ShotClick only needs the connector's Studio plan
  • It can't hear, yetyou tell it about the speech; transcription comes in a later version
MCP connector + Chrome extension

Your AI, inside your projects

With the MCP connector (Studio plan), Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor — or any MCP client — connect to your account: they read projects, add and rewrite scenes, save research notes, respecting roles and permissions. And with the Chrome extension, research gathers itself: select text on the web, right-click, and the note attaches to the right scene with a link to its source.

  • AI clients in the scriptMCP tools consume no credits: you only pay your own AI subscription
  • Real collaboration (Pro)Editor/Viewer roles, real-time editing, comments attached to blocks
  • Research & DevelopmentAI research assistant and a per-project research board

The video unlocks when the client pays

The footage is done: now someone has to approve it and pay for it. Consegna.video is the client portal we use in production ourselves: one link, the cut in encrypted streaming, notes at the exact second, contract signed from the phone, shoots booked on your calendar. The final file only ships after the last step is approved. And everything the client does reaches you on Telegram.

  • Encrypted streaming, no filethe client watches from the portal; embed on their site only once approved, suspend in one click

  • Contract, booking, PDF, chatsignature with date, IP and document fingerprint; shoots booked on Google Calendar

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why not just use ChatGPT or Claude?

Because a chat gives you text, not a document — let alone footage. ShotClick is the surface your AI works on: locked scene numbers, colored revisions, real .fdx export, then images, video, VFX and editing. With the MCP connector it's literally the same Claude, just working inside the script.

What are credits?

The currency of the AI features: every rewrite, generation or analysis costs credits, ALWAYS shown before you confirm. Videos are charged only on delivery: if a generation fails, you pay nothing. Packs never expire, or get a monthly refill with a subscription. Writing, printing and exporting never cost anything.

Which AI models can I use?

Over 30. For text: Claude (up to Fable 5), GPT-5.6, Gemini 3.7, Kimi, DeepSeek and GLM — including the brand-new GLM-5.3 with its adjustable reasoning. For images: GPT Image 2, Nano Banana Pro, Seedream 5 Pro. For video: the full Seedance family up to 2.5 (4-30 seconds, 50 references). Pick model and reasoning level for every single action.

How does the DaVinci Resolve plugin work?

Download it from ShotClick (macOS and Windows), install with a double click and it appears in Workspace → Workflow Integrations. It requires Resolve Studio and an API key you create in your account settings. From there: select a clip, describe the effect, approve the prompt and the result comes back on the timeline at the exact frame.

Does MCP editing upload my footage to your servers?

No. The plugin extracts frames on your computer and only small JPEGs reach the connector, in transit: video files never leave your Mac and no credits are spent, the thinking runs on the AI subscription you already have. Videos generated by the VFX plugin stay downloadable for 7 days, and the plugin also saves them on your computer anyway.

What does the subscription unlock?

Pro unlocks collaboration (invites and roles) with 10,000 monthly credits at the best price per credit. Studio adds the MCP connector — Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor working inside your projects — plus 25,000 monthly credits. Cancel in one click.

Can I work with people on Final Draft?

Yes: import existing .fdx files and export to .fdx with scene numbers. You can also import PDFs, with automatic recognition of scenes, characters and dialogue.

What are timeline branches?

Alternative versions of the story starting from a scene: the original stays intact, you write ending B in parallel, compare them on the Canvas Board and delete the discarded branch. No other editor has them.

Are my scripts safe?

Two-step email verification, autosave and local backup: every Save also downloads a complete .shck copy to your computer, reopenable anywhere. Your words remain yours.

Your story won't shoot itself.

But from today you've got a whole studio: script, footage, VFX and editing. And writing is free, forever.
